Introduction

Hi Everyone,

Just in case the name didn't give it away, this blog is all about comedy and funny things, ranging from books to music to comedians. I will post things here that I think are funny.

First of all, as this is an introduction, let me give you a brief background about myself. My name is Prakhar Mehrotra, I am 16 years old and live in Singapore. I was born in India but for the past 9 years, I have been living abroad first in the US and now just recently in Singapore. Also, My favorite team in sports is the Australian Cricket team. That's everything important now for the other stuff.

Funny Books

I know that although nowadays, if you want to find something funny, you switch on your television and start watching. Even though there are funny shows and movies on television, many people forget forget that there are plenty of books out there that are very funny, even avid readers. Here is a book and author that I find are humorous

1. Terry Pratchett: This guy is basically a comic genius. His fantasy world, Discworld, shows the funny side of life. He has written over 20 books in about this world which explore the life of many characters that can be paralleled to characters in our world. There also characters like DEATh, Fate, Luck, etc. This adds another dimension of humour into the novels. Apart from being funny, the books also have a good story. 2. The book This is Your Life by John O'Farrel explores how one can succeed in life without actually doing anything. The story follows character who wants to be a comedian as a kid and has written journals about how to act when he is grown up. When, as a grown up, he finds the journals and realizes that his life is not what he wanted. What follows is a funny sequence of events that leads to his fame and glory.
   

3 Funny Comedians

Here is a list of some comedians that I find are funny. So far I have three but will add some more as soon as I find some more

1. If you have a list of funny comedians, you have to include Russell Peters. If you've not heard of him you need to visit youtube more often. Here is the link to his full show on comedy now.

2. Paul Chowdhry is another talented comedian with jokes similiar to Russel Peters. Here is the link to his first ever show on BBC.
3. I don't know the name of this funny prop-comic and I don't think he has any other videos but he is funny and original. Check him out here.
